georgia swamp
was on my way back to athens from augusta today and decided to pull over & take some pictures. i drive down this road quite often when heading south and every time i see this swampy area i’m always intrigued. i think this shows why.

speed stacking!
it’s crazy to me how people can become so good at any given thing. whether it’s basketball, juggling, or … err … stacking cups. to me this speaks volumes of what focused intensity can do. what would happen if you turned some laser beam focus on any of your own ambitions or goals?
the studio – before & after
ok …. i’m still not technically done with my studio space, but i’m just too excited about the progress not to post something.
after about 30 minutes of digging through my old external hard drive I found this picture of the ‘would-be’ office before any work was done on it. it was apparently originally created as some type of play room, designed to make little kids go crazy while hitting their head on the low hanging fans.
and now …. for the remodel.
it’s been a slow process …. first i gutted everything including lights, fans, walls, etc. then I rewired and installed some recessed lights in combination with putting up all the sheetrock. after that, the ever-so-laborious process of mudding, sanding, mudding, sanding, mudding, sanding. the office sat with the sheetrock finished for quite a while until i got some more motivation to get painting.
this last weekend i finally primed and painted everything … and I’m quite content with the results. I’ve still got to build another little custom closet door, install the base molding, as well as the door and window molding. after that i’ve got to get in the attic and figure out why the AC isn’t pumping in there. (not really looking forward to that) but that should be it!
i can then migrate my workspace from the cluttered desk in my bedroom to my spankin’ new studio space! ohh the anticipation.
