and i had. the ciamillo N.E.R.D campaign was created in about 5 days. the limited edition product (666 sets) sold out within a week generating $666 per set. i’ll let you do the math.

i’m excited to announce the launch of the new studiomds.com

this new site promotes our mdscubed service as well as explaining what it’s all about. it showcases mdscubed front and center with 3 different interactive images. in the future i plan to have this load in random shots but for now you get the air tractor, a beach house, and a brewery.

also, the site contains a new project spotlight. i hope to update this weekly to keep the content fresh. this will be a mix between personal and client projects, and will showcase (in most instances) the latest happening’s with mdscubed. right now it is static, but again, in the future i plan to make this section dynamic with an rss feed to syndicate freshly brewed mds content right into your inbox, if you’d be so kind as to subscribe. for now you just visit mds weekly to see the new project. =)

in the footer you can find some links to connect with me on facebook, twitter, and linked-in. there’s also a little spot to see the latest blog post, like this one. another change in the future will be integrating this blog into the new site. you can also sign up to receive email updates from mds on news about special offers, etc. these won’t be very often and i promise not to spam you, but when i do send one out, you’re gonna wanna see it.

lastly, i’ve included a partial list of brands i’ve hand the pleasure to work with. some directly and some through other agencies.

in the past i’ve promoted myself for web design, logo design, among other design related services, and while i’ll still be doing those things (very selectively), moving forward it will be all about mdscubed. so come on over and check us out!

here’s a screenshot of the new site in it’s entirety just in case you still haven’t been motivated to see the real thing.

ok …. i’m still not technically done with my studio space, but i’m just too excited about the progress not to post something.

after about 30 minutes of digging through my old external hard drive I found this picture of the ‘would-be’ office before any work was done on it. it was apparently originally created as some type of play room, designed to make little kids go crazy while hitting their head on the low hanging fans.

and now …. for the remodel.

it’s been a slow process …. first i gutted everything including lights, fans, walls, etc. then I rewired and installed some recessed lights in combination with putting up all the sheetrock. after that, the ever-so-laborious process of mudding, sanding, mudding, sanding, mudding, sanding. the office sat with the sheetrock finished for quite a while until i got some more motivation to get painting.

this last weekend i finally primed and painted everything … and I’m quite content with the results. I’ve still got to build another little custom closet door, install the base molding, as well as the door and window molding. after that i’ve got to get in the attic and figure out why the AC isn’t pumping in there. (not really looking forward to that) but that should be it!

i can then migrate my workspace from the cluttered desk in my bedroom to my spankin’ new studio space! ohh the anticipation.
