‘the internet case study book’ by rob ford
studio mds got a feature in the new FWA book “the internet case study book’ by rob ford. this is simply amazing and a little unbelievable. i responded to a newsletter sent out by the fwa back in february ’09. there was a little snippet in the sidebar, asking, “have you been involved in a web project / campaign that has produced crazy results … ?”
and i had. the ciamillo N.E.R.D campaign was created in about 5 days. the limited edition product (666 sets) sold out within a week generating $666 per set. i’ll let you do the math.
here are a few pics below of the feature … and there’s plenty more in the facebook photo album.
see the whole series of photos in the facebook photo album on the studio mds facebook page.
rock on
i’ve been using the same desktop wallpaper for a while now and decided it was time to change it up. big mouse pointers and cursors always look cool to me so i decided to rock one out for myself.
download it here. if you wanna vector version, ping me, and i’ll hook you up.
custom logotype design for LOECO
LOECO as a company stands for high quality – German – engineering. LOECO designs industrial plants from scratch and sells these plans to copmpanies all over the world. Most of those industrial plants deal with the finishing of tubes and pipes (e.g. galvanizing). See old logo here.
objective: set signs of a new modern leadership inside the company.
key words: engineering – high standards – round shapes

laser turtles
what are eight of the most inspirational things you can think of? rainbows, outerspace, clouds parting, he-man, howling wolves, unicorns, turtles, and laser beams? yes, you are spot on my friend.
he-man was actually my favorite childhood action figure, which pretty much makes this one of the single greatest images i’ve ever had the privilege to create.
mr. saladino, is creating his new site, and this is the outcome of our conversation. may you use it proudly mr. saladino, may you use it proudly.
*update 03.03.10 – now see it with he man AND she ra *

mds gets a facelift
i’m excited to announce the launch of the new studiomds.com
this new site promotes our mdscubed service as well as explaining what it’s all about. it showcases mdscubed front and center with 3 different interactive images. in the future i plan to have this load in random shots but for now you get the air tractor, a beach house, and a brewery.
also, the site contains a new project spotlight. i hope to update this weekly to keep the content fresh. this will be a mix between personal and client projects, and will showcase (in most instances) the latest happening’s with mdscubed. right now it is static, but again, in the future i plan to make this section dynamic with an rss feed to syndicate freshly brewed mds content right into your inbox, if you’d be so kind as to subscribe. for now you just visit mds weekly to see the new project. =)
in the footer you can find some links to connect with me on facebook, twitter, and linked-in. there’s also a little spot to see the latest blog post, like this one. another change in the future will be integrating this blog into the new site. you can also sign up to receive email updates from mds on news about special offers, etc. these won’t be very often and i promise not to spam you, but when i do send one out, you’re gonna wanna see it.
lastly, i’ve included a partial list of brands i’ve hand the pleasure to work with. some directly and some through other agencies.
in the past i’ve promoted myself for web design, logo design, among other design related services, and while i’ll still be doing those things (very selectively), moving forward it will be all about mdscubed. so come on over and check us out!
here’s a screenshot of the new site in it’s entirety just in case you still haven’t been motivated to see the real thing.
b&w desk
